French hose

You will need:

  • 1 metre garden hose or similar tubing
  • Sports bottle drink cap
  • Plastic bottle
  • Tape
  • Decoration

1. Cut the bottom off of the plastic bottle. Tape the open top of the bottle to the very end of the hose, making sure the tape makes it airtight. The bottle becomes the bell of the instrument.
2. Take all extra parts off of the drinks cap so it resembles a brass mouthpiece. Put the small end in the other end of the hose. The hose might need to be cut a bit for it to be able to fit in well. Tape the cap to the hose, making sure it’s airtight and secure.
3. Decorate and enjoy!

To play the French hose, make a buzzing sound with you lips, like blowing a raspberry. Press you lips against the mouthpiece and make the buzz. You might need to tape the edge if it’s poky.
